My name is Maxine Dibert. I am Koyukon Athabascan, born and raised in Fairbanks. My native name is Neelthdinlo which means “a strong runner.” I met my husband John, a smokejumper, over 25 years ago and we raised our two wonderful kids here. I was a teacher at Denali Elementary School for over 20 years before being elected to represent House District 31 since 2022.
Thank you to everyone in my community who continues to believe in me and support me. I’m excited to continue being a voice for working families in Fairbanks and across the state. In Juneau, my colleagues and I worked hard to deliver on key priorities for Alaska. Moving forward, I remain dedicated to prioritizing (1) Education, (2) Economic development, and (3) Energy that is both affordable and reliable.
I have listened and I will keep listening to you. I will show up and work hard every single day.
